Effect of Covid - 19 Pandemic on Monsoon 2020.

Effect of Covid -19 Pandemic on Monsoon 2020.

We all are aware of the fact that the global warming, rising temperature, environmental pollution, and ecological disturbances are having adverse effects on rainfall.

There may have been well taken note on this year's rainfall pattern across the globe, particularly in India. Since our country's economical growth and survival of millions largely depends on Monsoon (June to September).

The human life is badly affected by Covid - 19 pandemic. Sadly, Covid - 19 has taken away so many lives (and loved ones), taken away employment, and disturbed every corner of human life.

With disturbed mind, while reading some of the articles published in newspapers, it is worth to note that this year's average rainfall increased by 17 % across the country, 30 - 40 % above average in Maharashtra. All time drought affected districts like Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Beed, Dhule received above average rainfall.

I think, the worst effect of Covid - 19 Pandemic on human health posed a great threat. However, if helpful to this year's good monsoon, may help to policymakers/ academicians to rethink differently for better human health and better environment.
